A module is further broken down into various components. A module is the standard SAP solution for a business. Thus, the SD module may be broken down into the component Basic Functions, and then even further into Pricing. An IS, on the other hand, may consist of R/3 core modules that cover, for example, administrative processes, industry-specific enhancements, and complementary software components from partners and customers as well.
