Hose and Close
Hose and Close
Today's term of the Day "Hose and Close"
"Hose and Close" is an off-putting practice used by computer help desk staff. When a user asks for some information or question, the help desk staff respond with a deluge of technobabble which the user doesn't understand or give users complex commands/instructions, which the user cannot follow, thus making the user call back again with a request for an easier solution.
