SAP SD - Basic Transaction Codes
SAP SD - Basic Transaction Codes
SAP Sales & Distribution - Basic Transaction Codes
Transaction codes are the short path to a specific screen in SAP. In SAP the transaction code [SPRO] is the shortcut for the business IMG. Any transaction in SAP Sales and Distribution (SAP - SD) can be accessed using either the short path i.e. transaction codes or using the standard menu path. Thus, the menu path to get to the IMG from the Logistics screen, or [S000] as in the example of the SAPGUI, is as follows:
Tools >> Business engineering >> Customizing.
There are hundreds of such transaction codes in SAP. SAP SD groups transaction codes into its components. For example [VAOO] gives a user the sales overview screen. Similarly, the transaction code [VAO1] will take a user to the create sales order screen, [VAO2] the change sales order, [VAO3] display sales order, etc.
Some of the important transaction codes in SAP SD are listed below:
VS00 - Master data
VC00 - Sales support
VA00 - Sales
VL00 - Shipping
VT00 - Transportation
VF00 - Billing
VX00 - Foreign trade
SPRO - Enterprise IMG
An important thing to remember is that all the transaction codes call up screens. A user can access every screen from the logistics master menu i.e. through t-code [S000]. As a general rule, there has to be a link from the screen a user is trying to access to the relevant screen a user wishes to call up. To take an example, a user will not be able to access transaction code VS00 directly from the IMG screen menu.
