Features of ABAP WorkBench Architecture

The ABAP Workbench architecture has some very useful features. Some of the features of the ABAP WorkBench architecture are as under - 1. One of the most important features of the ABAP Workbench is that it supports all common and standard Graphical User Interfaces (GUI's) 2. ABAP WorkBench uses SAP middleware for interfacing and communicating with other like systems. 3. The workbench can interface easily with external applications including desktop applications. This is possible using RFC's, OLE2 and ODBC. 4. ABAP workbench can be configured with any database language like SQL. 5. Lastly, ABAP workbench supports distributed computing i.e. the same application can run in different platforms which is distributed amongst a large number of servers.
