In a recent global conference on SAP, the speaker discussed the concept of Business Objects in SAP. I found it very interesting since the examples he gave were real world and helped me in understanding the concept of SAP business objects. I have jotted down the excrepts of the speaker's explanation on SAP Business Objects below.

1. SAP Business Objects can be compared to central business objects in the real world. A business object could be an employee, purchase order, sales order, invoice, purchase requisition etc.
2. The SAP Table concept applies to SAP business objects as well. Thus, a business object is composed of tables.
3. The business object will have attributes and methods assigned to it. A attribute is a characteristic that specify the business object. A Business Object say Employee will have attributes such as Name, Address, Salary, Job Role etc. These attributes can be modified using a method assigned to the business object.
4. Methods are nothing but application programs that can modify an attribute. Thus, if the attribute of 'address' of an employee i.e. business object is to be changed, it can be done using a method.
5. All SAP Business Objects are stored in SAP in the Business Object Repository BOR.
