What is Recovery Time Objective - Information Security Glossary
Recovery Time Objective
Recovery Time objectives RTO is the time within which systems and applications must be recovered after an outage. Thus, recovery time objective can be one working day or two working days. Recovery time objectives are beneficial in developing a recovery strategy. Based on RTO i.e. the time period within which systems must be up and running management can decide whether to implement the recovery strategy or not to implement a recovery strategy.
