Don't Come Back to the Answers - CISA Exam Day Dos and Dont's

Don't Come Back to the Answers.

Over the past one month or so I have been discussing practical tips on how to approach the CISA exam question paper. You can find the links to the same below in the related posts. The topic which I would like to
take up today is relating to a mistake which many candidates make in the exam. Having answered a question, many candidates come back and change the answer. This is the worst mistake one can make in a multiple choice question paper. Try and answer the question correctly the first time itself. The above condition is not new in multiple choice exams. It happens mainly beacuse of under preperation for the exam and confusion in
the mind of the exam candidate. Here is what I would recommend based on my experience and of some other successful CISA exam candidates. This I consider the golden rule in answering all questions in the CISA / CISM exam. The Big4guy rule states

"A candidate may change an answer if and only if there is some additional data available which necessitates that your previous answer was incorrect."

If you are changing the answer to a question previously answered keep the above rule in mind. Otherwise, please do not think of coming back to the answers for corrections later on. Another helpful tip I would like to
suggest here is if you have to modify your answers for any reason, please ensure that you erase the previous choice properly so that there is no trace of marking else it may be construed as multiple marking and your answer ignored for valuation.
