SAP Session Manager Transaction SESS
SAP Session Manager Transaction SESS
SAP Session Manager is a transaction in SAP which can be used to display various R3 menus in the R3 system. Session Manager can be executed with transaction code "SESS". Users can start the application which is listed in their application menu. SAP application menus can be user specific, enterprise specific or they can be standard SAP menus.
SAP session manager makes it easy for the end user to navigate in the SAP R3 system. This is beacuse the session manager tool allows users to customize the R/3 menus and also since the tool uses a new user interface to interact with R/3. Esssentially, the Session Manager narrows the menu scope. At the time of SAP implementation, a corporate menu with the R/3 functions a company uses is automatically generated. Based on this corporate menu, a user-specific menu is automatically created when activity groups are created. This menu contains the necessary application components and the transactions. This new user interface provided by T-Code SESS session manager makes SAP system navigation simple.
