Batch Input in SAP R3 RSBDCSUB
Batch Input in SAP R3 RSBDCSUB
Batch input is a method of transferring huge chunks of data within systems. In SAP, batch input helps in inputting data from other SAP and non-SAP systems. For batch input to work, it is important that an interface exists between SAP and other systems to start a batch input session. During batch input of data, one can specify data consistency checks which ensure that data adheres to SAP norms. The menu path for batch input processing is:
System Services >> Batch Input >> Edit
Alternatively one can use transaction code SM35 for the same. Batch input sessions in SAP are normally started as background jobs. Such non interactive sessions ensure periodic system scanning and executes any sessions which have not been run. SAP also provides for running the batch input session automatically through an ABAP program, RSBDCSUB. The abap program executes the sessions automatically through background processing.
