SAP BW 7.0 Business Warehouse is SAP's latest offering to the business intelligence market. BW is nothing new within the SAP's suite of business software. With the release of SAP BW 7.0, SAP is now offering an enhanced product with some key improvements which help in generating better and quicker queries. This results in a better user experience and ultimately better delivery of business objectives especially reporting. Let's look at some of the key features & functions which are now available as part of SAP BW 7.0:

1. Query Design and Analytical Engine - The query design and analytical engine has been completely re-written and now provides a much better query designer layout.

2. BEx Web Analyser - The BEx analyser now can be linked to additional data sources. The BEx analyser now also offers a drag and drop functionality.

3. BW Report Designer - One of the issues with the earlier version of SAP BW was the complexity in developing formatted reports. With the BW 7.0 version, SAP has launched a new application for the development of highly formatted reports.

4. Web Application Designer - The new web application designer in business warehouse 7 comes with a new command wizard and new web items and charts.

5. BEx Analyser - The business explorer add-in within BW now comes with much better excel integration, drag and drop functionality and a workbook design mode which helps in better query design.

6. Information Broadcasting - BW 7.0 version now has different outputs such as email, portal, printers as well UWL and other options to schedule data output.

7. BW Authorisations - Creating and maintaining authorisations in SAP BW has always been a challenge. However, with new Bw, the authorization concept has been made more flexible and easy to manage.

8. Visual Composer - The new visual composer now can integrate BI data into analytical applications using graphical tools.
